Using Zoom with Klinical
Connect your own Zoom account so every telehealth session you book is scheduled as a Zoom meeting.
Adding the app (connecting Zoom)
- Sign in to Klinical and open Settings → Calendar.
- Scroll to Video Calls and click Connect Zoom account.
- You'll be sent to Zoom to sign in and approve the connection. Klinical asks for two permissions only: create a meeting for you, and view your profile (to show which account is connected).
- After approving, you land back in Settings, which now shows "Zoom connected as [your email]".
A paid Zoom plan is recommended — free Zoom limits meetings to 40 minutes, which is shorter than a typical session.
Using it
There's nothing extra to do. Every new telehealth session you book — from your dashboard or through a client booking link — is automatically scheduled as a Zoom meeting in your Zoom account, with your waiting room settings applied. The meeting's join link is used everywhere Klinical shares a session link:
- the client's booking confirmation and reminder emails
- the calendar event created for the session
- the Join video call button on your dashboard
- the client portal's Join button
Sessions booked before you connected keep the video links your clients already received. Klinical never accesses your meetings' audio, video, recordings, or chats — it only creates the meeting and stores its join link.
Removing the app (disconnecting)
Either of these fully removes the connection:
- In Klinical: Settings → Calendar → Video Calls → Disconnect.
- In Zoom: open the Zoom App Marketplace → Manage → Added Apps page and remove Klinical.
Both delete Klinical's stored connection tokens immediately. New bookings go back to Klinical's built-in video; sessions already booked with Zoom keep the links your clients received.
